Basketball Recap: Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Elie Bstandig and Lillian Bowen

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer was the 41-37 winner over Tri County when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans fell to the Tri County Trojans 38-32. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Lillian Bowen and Elie Bstandig. Bowen posted 17 points, while Bstandig scored four points in addition to 18 rebounds and four steals. The game was Bowen's third in a row with at least ten points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tri County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sayber Hoesche, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards. Macey Gronemeyer was another key player, putting up six points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Tri County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer will square off against Pawnee City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tri County, they will challenge Elmwood-Murdock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
