It was a good run, but the Lanier Christian Academy Lightning unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. 2024 welcomed they with a 58-32 loss courtesy of Tallulah Falls. Lanier Christian Academy lost against Tallulah Falls in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 74-22 score last time.
Lanier Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Adelyn Gough, who scored eight points along with three blocks. Meav Fouts was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Lanier Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Tallulah Falls, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
