Ridgway is 0-9 against North Fork since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ridgway Demons will be home for the holidays to greet the North Fork Miners at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Ridgway took a serious blow against Olathe, falling 64-28.
Despite the defeat, Ridgway got a solid performance out of Ali Sauer, who scored four points along with five rebounds. Sauer also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
Meanwhile, North Fork's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. Their tough 48-26 defeat to Olathe might stick with them for a while.
Ridgway bumped their record down to 2-2 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.2 points per game. As for North Fork, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.
Ridgway took a serious blow against North Fork when the teams last played back in January, falling 57-20. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ridgway was down 34-9.
