Northgate had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 43-point drubbing they dealt Northside on Friday. The Vikings breezed past the Patriots to the tune of 49-6. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their 12-point performance the game before.

Northgate's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Woody Schettini, who rushed for 110 yards and two TDs on only ten carries. Another back making a difference was Timothy Gibson, who rushed for 75 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries.

Despite the loss, Northside still got an impressive performance from Gabe Galarza, who rushed for 85 yards and one score.

The win was the third in a row for Northgate, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points on average this season. As for Northside, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northgate will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Newnan at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th. This will be the Vikings' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Northside, they will head out to square off against Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
