When it comes to explaining why Seton Catholic Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Drew Erickson. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Erickson is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Johnny Hopf, who scored seven points.
Seton Catholic Central struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Troy's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Seton Catholic Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Troy is on the road again on January 5, 2024 and play against Athens at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Athens will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Seton Catholic Central won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Starpoint at 1:30 p.m. on December 29th. Starpoint will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 732nd, while Seton Catholic Central is ranked 83rd).
