The Noble Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Sanford Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maine (Noble is ranked 13th, while Sanford is ranked 15th).
Last Friday, Noble was fully in charge, breezing past Bangor 41-13 at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Noble.
Noble's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamier Rose, who rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 185 yards and a touchdown. Kaden Dustin did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 126 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Sanford's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 26-7 fall against Oxford Hills. Sanford was down 26-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Noble is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Sanford, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 6-4-1.
Noble took a serious blow against Sanford in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, falling 54-14. Can Noble avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
