Quincy is 2-8 against the Yellowjackets since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Quincy Orioles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Concord Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, Quincy was able to grind out a solid victory over the Panthers, taking the game 46-33.
Meanwhile, Concord scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Maple Valley 92-9 at home. Concord has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.
Concord relied on the efforts of Bradie Lehman, who scored 24 points along with six steals and five assists, and Cieara Barrett, who almost dropped a triple-double on 21 points, nine assists, and nine steals. Barrett is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Grace Thorrez was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Quincy's victory bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Concord, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.
Things could have been worse for Quincy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-38 loss to the Yellowjackets in their previous meeting back in December of 2023.
