It was a good run, but the McDermitt Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Owyhee by a score of 61-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
McDermitt lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alexis Scott, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vina Tom, who scored 13 points.
McDermitt's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-3. As for Owyhee, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
McDermitt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-52 defeat vs. Eureka on the 9th. Owyhee has also already played their next game, a 46-34 victory against Wells on the 9th.
