Carver High School of Engineering & Science will head out on the road to face off against the Frankford Pioneers at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Carver High School of Engineering & Science had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Mastery Charter South co-op [Mastery Charter Lenfest/Mastery Charter Thomas] 56-28 on the road.
Carver High School of Engineering & Science's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Samir Roberts-mouzon, who scored 10 points. Fareed Brown was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Meanwhile, Frankford earned a 55-48 win over Olney on Tuesday.
Frankford found their leader in underclassman Doron Ross, who scored 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ross has scored at least 25% of Frankford's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laquan Harrison, who scored 9 points along with 6 assists.
Carver High School of Engineering & Science's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Frankford, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Carver High School of Engineering & Science beat Frankford 51-42 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carver High School of Engineering & Science since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
