2A District 1 recap Oct. 30, 2012
Ramah extended the longest winning streak in 2A District 1 this week by beating Tohatchi, 54-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Ramah's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tyrell Morgan has thrown for 1467 yards and 22 touchdowns this season, while Matthew Barton has 57 catches for 572 yards. Tyrell Daniels leads the league in rushing with 878 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Zuni takes on Ramah. The Thunderbirds are currently in fourth, while Carlett Daniels' team is in first.
The Mustangs led 2A District 1 in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on the Cougars. Daniels ran for 133 yards and caught one passes for 11 yards in the win.
