Pike County Central had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Phelps on Tuesday. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Hornets. Considering the Hawks have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Pike County Central's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Phelps, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Coincidentally, Pike County Central and Phelps will both be playing East Ridge the next time they take the field. The Hornets will head out to face the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Hawks will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
