The Oakland-Craig Knights took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They strolled past Logan View/Scribner-Snyder with points to spare, taking the game 64-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Oakland-Craig also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Oakland-Craig found their leader in underclassman Briar Ray, who scored 20 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sonya Guzinski, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Oakland-Craig's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakland-Craig will challenge South Sioux City at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, they will head out on the road to face off against Aquinas on Saturday.
