Clearview is on a four-game streak of home losses, Hightstown a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Clearview Pioneers will take on the Hightstown Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Clearview will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Clearview, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 38-21 loss to Washington Township. While losing is never fun, Clearview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Washington Township is ranked 29th).
Despite the defeat, Clearview got a solid performance out of Obrian Brown, who rushed for 170 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Hightstown took a serious blow against Allentown on Friday, falling 45-13.
Clearview has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Hightstown, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
