Ithaca (Mich.) snapped Hill-McCloy (Montrose, Mich.)'s 10-game winning streak, with a 31-0 victory on Saturday.
The Yellowjackets were up 17-0 at the half after taking the lead on a field goal by
Sage DeMull in the first quarter.
Ithaca expanded its lead to 24 points entering the fourth quarter. IHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown pass by
Travis Smith to
Caden Kipp.
The Yellowjackets' standout player in the win was
Jared Evers. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 16 touchdowns on the season.
Ithaca came into the game allowing 6.3 points per game. The Rams came in surrendering 16.1 points per game this season. Hill-McCloy struggled against IHS, which came in averaging 52.3 points per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 28-13 win for the Yellowjackets.
The defeat comes as a step back for Hill-McCloy, which notched a 33-28 victory over Millington in its previous outing.
