The Wyandotte Bulldogs will challenge the Center Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Wyandotte is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
Wyandotte fell victim to Washington and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 11-0.
Meanwhile, Center was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against Harmon by a score of 5-2. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Luke Leslie and Brennan Eubanks made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Leslie tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Eubanks didn't allow a single hit and allowed only two earned runs while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Leslie is becoming a predictor of Center's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 3-1 (and 3-9 when he doesn't). At bat, Leslie went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Eubanks went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. That's the most runs Leslie has posted since back in April.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Westring, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another was Cobey McIntosh, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Wyandotte's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Center, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Wyandotte has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Center struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Wyandotte might still be hurting after the 13-3 loss they got from Center when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Bulldogs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
