Goldwater can finally bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against the Sierra Linda Bulldogs by a score of 69-57. Goldwater's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Sierra Linda saw an underclassman step up: freshman Elie Iranzi posted 27 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Iranzi has scored all season. Jonte Pulliam was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Goldwater's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Sierra Linda, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Goldwater wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-53 loss against Combs on the 6th. Sierra Linda has also already played their next game, a 64-35 victory against San Luis on the 12th.
