Mount Anthony is 0-10 against the Raiders since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mount Anthony Patriots' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Rutland Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. Mount Anthony has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Mount Anthony has not done well against the Bears recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Mount Anthony came out on top against the Bears by a score of 63-54. The score was all tied up 26-26 at the break, but Mount Anthony was the better team in the second half.
Meanwhile, Rutland faced the Bulldogs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Rutland walked away with a 55-43 win over the Bulldogs on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but Rutland sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Mount Anthony's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Rutland, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Mount Anthony ended up a good deal behind the Raiders in their previous matchup back in January, losing 66-47. Can Mount Anthony avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
