In what's become a running theme this season, Meadowdale gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Stivers School for the Arts 65-28 at home. Given Meadowdale's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 347th, while Stivers School for the Arts is ranked 724th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Zhieyah Rolack and Janiyah Middlebrook were among the main playmakers for Meadowdale as the former dropped a double-double on 24 points and 19 rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Rolack has scored at least a third of Meadowdale's points. Another player making a difference was Jayla Walker, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Miami Trace suffered their biggest defeat since November 22, 2023 on Wednesday. Their tough 56-32 defeat to Jackson might stick with them for a while. Miami Trace has struggled against Jackson recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Meadowdale's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Miami Trace, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
