North Platte moved up to 193 from 233 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in KCI. The Panthers were able to make the jump by falling to Penney 42-14.
The Hornets extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating North Platte, 42-14. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Mid-Buchanan's Dalton Robinson and Alec Bullimore have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Robinson has thrown for 919 yards this season, while Bullimore has 13 catches for 226 yards. Dave Fairchild's team's Derrick Hughes leads the league in rushing yards with 1194.
A big matchup in KCI this week will be when East Buchanan takes on the Hornets. At the moment, the Bulldogs are in fifth, while Penney is in first.
West Platte took down Plattsburg 45-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
