The Manning Monarchs are taking a road trip to take on the Atlantic Collegiate Academy Armada at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Manning has given up an average of 13.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Manning took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Mullins, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Monarchs narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Auctioneers 15-14. The high-scoring effort was just what the Monarchs needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

CJ Robinson was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Will Miles was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Atlantic Collegiate Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Tennessee on Saturday and fell 6-5. That's two games in a row now that the Armada have lost by just one run.
LOGAN NEWCOMB was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. JACKSON MEYERS also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
This is the second loss in a row for Atlantic Collegiate Academy and nudges their season record down to 15-2. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Manning, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Manning has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Atlantic Collegiate Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Manning suffered a grim 14-1 defeat to Atlantic Collegiate Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Monarchs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
