Saxony Lutheran's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rebecca Johnson, who scored 21 points. That's the first time this season that Johnson scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Evie Caruso, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Saxony Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for New Madrid County Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
