Lamar has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Dover Pirates at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Lamar has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 345 points over their last five matchups.
Last Friday, Lamar didn't have too much trouble with Perryville on the road as they won 62-46.
Lamar's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendrick Carr, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Miller, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Dover pushed their score all the way to 55 two weeks ago, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to Mayflower.
Lamar's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.9 points per game. As for Dover, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
Everything went Lamar's way against Dover in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as Lamar made off with a 56-35 win. Will Lamar repeat their success, or does Dover have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
