The Heights has gone a perfect 3-0 against Archbishop Carroll recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Heights barely beat School Without Walls the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Heights put the hurt on School Without Walls with a sharp 10-3 win on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for The Heights in their matchups with School Without Walls: they've now won four in a row.
Jackson McDonnell made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, John Branch was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Noah Escobar also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of DC International. One positive for the Lions, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Nate Green was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kadar Muir, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Archbishop Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for The Heights, their record is now 5-6.
