 Ciara Hage was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  tossed seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and one unearned) runs off   nine  hits. Hage was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double. Those  two  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Union Grove let  Ava Greening and  Emma Santarelli run wild. Greening  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Santarelli  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. That's the most  hits  Santarelli has posted since back in April of 2024.  McKenna Bones was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  RBI.
 Union Grove  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elkhorn only managed eight  hits.
Union Grove has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record  this season. As for Elkhorn,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 9-5.
 Coming up, Elkhorn will head out to  square off against Wilmot  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Union Grove will be paying especially close attention to the Elks'  match: after the Elks face off against the Panthers, they'll take on Union Grove again  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
