KINGSLAND, Ga. - After four lead changes,
Norcross (Ga.) took the lead for good when it threw a touchdown with 9:00 left in the fourth quarter and held on to upset
Camden County (Kingsland, Ga.) 34-20 on Saturday.
After trailing 19-14 at the half, the Wildcats went ahead on a
Jay Sheppard touchdown run with 10:00 left in the third.
By the end of the third, Norcross found itself trailing by 1 point as Camden County captured the lead thanks to one score in the quarter. CC scored on a touchdown run by Sheppard in the quarter.
J.j. Green played well for the Kingsland school. The senior halfback ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 16 touchdowns on the season.
Joseph Wilber stood out for NHS in the win. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown and ran for one touchdown. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
The Wildcats came in allowing just 8.0 points per game this season. Camden County struggled against the Blue Devils, which came in averaging 38.5 points per game.
The loss comes after Camden County defeated East Coweta 34-14 last week. The loss snapped CC's 2-game winning streak.
