Valley View had a senior duo take command as Micah Valenti gained 217 total yards and three touchdowns and Caden Henson - qb 2024 threw for 243 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt. Valenti was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 66 yards.
Meanwhile, Purcell Marian sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 30-28 victory over Zane Trace on Friday.
Jayel Harris was his usual excellent self, rushing for 246 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Sonny Ward, who rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Valley View's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Purcell Marian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
