Ellington waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Granby Memorial Bears. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Tyler Dumond spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Michael Grimes, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that he has hit this season. Chris Beaudry was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases.

Ellington's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Granby Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
