Monte Alto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 32-26 heartbreaker at the hands of Vanguard Academy Beethoven. One positive for the Blue Devil, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Monte Alto's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Vanguard Academy Beethoven, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monte Alto will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on IDEA Edinburg College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Vanguard Academy Beethoven, they will be home for the holidays to greet IDEA North Mission at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
