The Rickards Raiders entered their tilt with the Milton Panthers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Rickards came out on top against Milton by a score of 60-50 on Saturday.
It was another big night for Randall Pompey, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Romie Cosby, who scored 14 points.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mateo Robinson, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Sergio Robinson, who scored 11 points.
Rickards' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Milton, their defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-3.
Rickards will head out on the road to take on Florida State University High School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Florida State University High School knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matchups -- so hopefully Rickards likes a good challenge. As for Milton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pensacola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pensacola is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
