Grace Prep has gone a perfect 5-0 against Bishop Dunne recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lions will face off against the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. Grace Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Tuesday. Grace Prep fell just short of Grapevine Faith Christian by a score of 13-12. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for Grace Prep, who until this contest were averaging 3.55 runs allowed.

Bear Graves stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 4-for-5 with four RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Landon Jones, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Bishop Dunne was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dallas Lions Homeschool. The loss was the Falcons' first of the season.

Bishop Dunne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Timothy Clifford, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bishop Dunne fell to 3-1. As for Grace Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3-1.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Grace Prep has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bishop Dunne struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Grace Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop Dunne in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
