Winfield took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Collegiate, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Collegiate made off with a 53-52 victory over Arkansas City. Given Collegiate's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Arkansas City is ranked 236th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Winfield, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They fell to Halstead 62-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Collegiate has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4-1 record this season. As for Winfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
