Hamilton County has gone a perfect 6-0 against Jefferson County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Hamilton County Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Jefferson County Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Hamilton County will be strutting in after a victory while Jefferson County will be coming in after a defeat.
Hamilton County took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Saint Francis Catholic with a sharp 20-10 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Trojans needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.
Ralynn Moody made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Moody was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. She also put up two RBI, which were her first of the season.
In other batting news, Hamilton County got a massive performance out of Tayln Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Johnson hit this season. Brooklyn Carnley was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4.
Hamilton County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Jefferson County came up short against Wakulla Christian School on Monday, falling 17-7. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Saints recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Dyna Boucher made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
With the victory, Hamilton County broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4. As for Jefferson County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Everything went Hamilton County's way against Jefferson County in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, as Hamilton County made off with an 18-0 win. Will Hamilton County repeat their success, or does Jefferson County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
