The Immaculate Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the New Milford Green Wave at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, it was close, but Immaculate sidestepped Northwest Catholic for a 42-40 victory.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Immaculate to victory, but perhaps none more so than Callie Miller, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Miller hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Kristina Asmani, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, New Milford waltzed into their game on Thursday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. Everything went their way against New Fairfield as New Milford made off with a 51-26 win. New Milford has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Immaculate's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for New Milford, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4.
Immaculate won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in December of 2023, slipping by New Milford 46-45. Will Immaculate repeat their success, or does New Milford have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
