The Sacramento Dragons and the Rio Americano Raiders will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Sacramento will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Even though Del Oro scored an imposing 68 points on Saturday, Sacramento still came out on top. Sacramento walked away with a 76-68 win over Del Oro.
Sacramento got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Shobal Barksdale out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barksdale has scored all season. Kendahl Hearne was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Rio Americano pushed their score all the way to 60 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to Laguna Creek.
Sacramento is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Rio Americano, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
Sacramento came up short against Rio Americano when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 76-65. Can Sacramento avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
