Tri-Valley recap Oct. 30, 2012
Travis Lamereaux of Millersburg ran for the longest rushing play in Tri-Valley this season against East Juniata last week. Lamereaux ran for 96 yards on the play and finished with 133 on the day as his team topped the Tigers.
Williams Valley extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Newport, 48-0. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Vikings.
Millersburg's dynamic duo of Josh Howard and Ethan Troutman proved tough for East Juniata to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Howard threw for 52 yards and one touchdown and Troutman had 37 yards receiving. Lamereaux helped Millersburg's passing attack out by catching one ball for 15 yards.
Trey Campbell was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 145 yards on 16 carries as Upper Dauphin Area bested Simon Cameron's team. Teammate Ian Buffington added to the ground attack by rushing for 17 yards.
Williams Valley's Stephen Sedesse and Owen Daniel have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Tri-Valley in both passing and receiving yards. Sedesse has thrown for 1243 yards this season, while Daniel, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 35 catches for 695 yards. Blake Bowman from Tri-Valley leads the league in rushing with 1425 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Bulldogs take on Line Mountain. At the moment, Tri-Valley is in second, while the Eagles are in third.
Tim Savage's team took down the Buffaloes 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
