Donegal has gone 9-1 against Garden Spot recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Donegal is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Donegal was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Cocalico on Monday. The Indians never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Leland Condran, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Fabian, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Donegal always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Garden Spot had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 9-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.
Madix Bracken made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Ryder Hertzler was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Garden Spot: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brody Torrance, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Donegal's record is now 10-7. As for Garden Spot, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Donegal has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Garden Spot struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Donegal beat Garden Spot 4-1 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
