North Rockland strolled past Clarkstown North with points to spare, taking the game 56-40. Given North Rockland's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Clarkstown North is ranked 531st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sarai Gurley was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points. Kiersten Daly was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
North Rockland is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for Clarkstown North, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
North Rockland won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against East Ramapo [Ramapo/Spring Valley] at 4:30 p.m. on February 9th. East Ramapo [Ramapo/Spring Valley] comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Clarkstown North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
