The Central Montcalm Hornets had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They breezed by Lakeview on the road to the tune of 39-7. The result was nothing new for Central Montcalm, who have now won five contests by 31 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Anthony Schultz, who rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Schultz is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Mccoy Wernholm also helped out as he racked up 109 rushing yards.
Central Montcalm now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Lakeview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Central Montcalm will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Chesaning at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Chesaning will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Lakeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
