Central had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 20-48 punch to the gut against Columbia on Friday. The state rankings had actually given Central a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 0-0.
Central will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Cedar Grove at 7:00 PM. Columbia are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Memorial next week at 7:00 PM.
