On Friday, The Flanagan/Woodland Falcons faced the Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Flanagan/Woodland blew past Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon, posting a 49-6 victory on the road. The result was nothing new for Flanagan/Woodland, who have now won three contests by 43 points or more so far this season.
Flanagan/Woodland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Payton Quaintance led the charge by rushing for 163 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Another player making a difference was Kesler Collins, who rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Flanagan/Woodland's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.
