Suttons Bay suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 75-32 loss at the hands of Benzie Central. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Suttons Bay in their matchups with Benzie Central: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Glen Lake had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past Traverse City Christian 69-41 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Glen Lake has posted yet this season.
Glen Lake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Benji Allen led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Allen pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Bufalini, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Suttons Bay has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Glen Lake, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2.
