Wilson Christian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Living Water Christian with a sharp 18-1 victory on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Chargers considering their two-run performance the match before.
Davis Pittman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Wilson Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Austin Coughlin, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Those four runs gave Coughlin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Avery Watkins, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Wilson Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Greenfield had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. Everything went their way against the Sabres as they made off with a 12-1 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.
Like Wilson Christian Academy, Greenfield also got a great game from a two-way player: Zach McKenzie. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. McKenzie has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Simon Quinn was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Christopher Tankersley was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Greenfield pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Wilson Christian Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
