Springfield and the Cyclones are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2018, but not for long. The Springfield Senators will head out on the road to face off against the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Illinois (Springfield is ranked 120th, while the Cyclones are ranked 100th).
Springfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rochester.
Meanwhile, Sacred Heart-Griffin put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 70-19 victory over Jacksonville.
Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.
Springfield was able to grind out a solid win over the Cyclones when the teams last played back in January, winning 29-22. Does Springfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cyclones turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
