The Bacon County Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Brooks County Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bacon County is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
While it was all tied up 21-21 at halftime, Bacon County was not quite Pelham's equal in the second half on Friday. Bacon County suffered a rough 43-21 loss at the hands of Pelham.
Despite the loss, Bacon County got a solid performance out of Travion Richardson, who rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Richardson is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played.
Brooks County fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 21-6 victory over Irwin County on Friday.
Pelham's win bumped their season record to 5-4 while Bacon County's loss dropped theirs to 4-3.
Bacon County was dealt a bruising 49-0 loss at the hands of Brooks County in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Can Bacon County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
