Junction will venture away from home to square off against Goldthwaite at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Junction is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Last Thursday, Junction didn't have quite enough to beat Harper and fell 7-6. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Casen Roberts made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Junction's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 4-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't). Crue Levien also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Goldthwaite, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Harper on Friday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by nine runs or more this season.
Owen Campbell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Campbell was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Leverett, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Hagen Greenway was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Goldthwaite kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.7 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.4.
Goldthwaite's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Junction, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Junction has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 10.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Goldthwaite struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
