The Hebron Hawks will take on the South Central Satellites at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hebron's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three contests, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Hebron managed to slip by Wheeler the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hawks came up short against the Bearcats on Wednesday, falling 15-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hawks have suffered against the Bearcats since May 21, 2018.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Central). They put the hurt on Culver Community with a sharp 23-8 victory on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Satellites in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won seven in a row.
South Central got a massive performance out of Brooklyn Burns, who went 4-for-6 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave Burns a new career-high. Grace Shukitis was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
South Central hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 11 consecutive matchups.
South Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Hebron, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
