The Ravenscroft Ravens will head out on the road to take on the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ravenscroft will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Ravenscroft barely beat Raleigh HomeSchool the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Ravens put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 10-0 win on Friday. That's two games straight that the Ravens have won by exactly ten runs.
The result came thanks to Ethan Wagnon's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jack Holt was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Hayden Shoemaker also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ravenscroft kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wake Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over Durham Academy on Monday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
The team relied heavily on Grayson Durrant, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeffrey Newsome, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
Wake Christian Academy pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Ravenscroft, their record is now 10-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Ravenscroft has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wake Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Ravenscroft beat Wake Christian Academy 6-1 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ravens since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
