Cooper Warnecke looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Bullitt East got a massive performance out of Chase Meredith, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave Meredith a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Devin Elder, who went 1-for-2 with five RBI and one double.
Whitefield Academy's record now sits at 5-2. As for Bullitt East, their record is now 12-3-1.
