Manteo won the last time they faced Columbia and things went their way on Thursday too. The Redskins strolled past the Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 60-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redskins.

Manteo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jeramiah Gibbs out in front who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Zay Banks, who posted 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Manteo smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since the start of last season.

Manteo has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Columbia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Manteo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 83-62 defeat against Wilson Prep on the 6th. Hopefully Columbia paid attention to the Redskins' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Redskins at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
