This season hasn't been kind to The Okemos Wolves, who are still winless after their ninth game. They were dealt a 42-0 defeat at the hands of Everett on Friday. While losing is never fun, Okemos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 415th, while Everett is ranked 194th).
Alejandro Urrea threw for 66 yards on seven of 24 attempts. Xavier Ford was his top target, picking up 32 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Nathan Precise rushed for 54 yards.
Okemos' loss was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 3.3 points per game. As for Everett, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Okemos does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Everett is also done with their season.
